Negative sentences

[ttmik: level 1 - lesson 21]

Two ways:

1. Adding 안 infront of a verb. (simpler and more colloquial)
2. Adding ~지 않다 to the 하 form of a verb. (more formal)

Examples using 안 #

• 집에 안 가요.

  • I’m not going home.

• 그거 안 버렸어요.

  • I didn’t throw it away.

Examples using ~지 않다 #

• 가지 않아요.

  • I’m not going.

• 버리지 않았어요.

  • I didn’t throw it away.
