Time in Korean

Time in Korean

[ttmik: level 2 - lesson 8]

When telling the time in Korean, the hour is specified with native Korean numbers , while minutes and seconds are specified with Sino-Korean numbers . The special rule for native Korean numbers followed by a noun is applied (applies to 1,2,3 and 4).

The counters for these units are:

  • 시 - hour
  • 분 - minute
  • 추 - second

Instead of saying 30분 you can say 반 (half).
